I'm Ani! I’m an illustrator and graphic designer from the Maldives. I primarily work on children’s books, some of them include the Marya Khan series (Abrams), Do you even know me (Harper Collins), and Bhangra Baby (Simon and Schuster). Currently I’m working on my first graphic novel, Off The Cuff, written by Supriya Kelkar, published by Candlewick.
Outside of kidlit, my clients include NPR, UNDP, UNICEF, and WHO, creating illustrations, character designs for animations and content for marketing campaigns and social awareness campaigns, ones that are central around children.
I'm represented by the CAT Agency, by Christy Ewers for children's literature in US and Canada.
I live in Male’, with my husband and cats Lilo, Jinji and Tiny, whom feature regularly in my illustrations on instagram.
